Te Arai - Managawhai

Nestled on the sands of Te Arai, this stunning home features an equally stunning theatre. The tall 3.2m stud height gives a very dramatic feel to the looks and lighting of this theatre. Featuring 55 circuits of RGBW LED Strip and LED mini-spots, a lot of fun can be had with the lighting of this room, including animated lighting sweeps of the room during the starting and stopping of the theatre.

M&K Sound S300 speakers make up the front LCR, MP150 speakers for the surround and rear speakers and 4 x IW150A speakers were used for the overhead Atmos speakers. Two X12+ subwoofers sit up front behind the screen, with an X10+ subwoofer in the rear to balance the room.
The processor is a 16ch Acurus Muse, mated with 2 x Primare A35.8 power amplifiers with the Front speakers running in bridged mode.

All this equates to some serious SPL, with soundwaves literally able to make the hairs on your arms stand on end.

The latest JVC DLA-NZ700 4k Laser projector fills the 160” 16:9 screen with pops of colour and supurb clarity. No wonder it is one of the favourite rooms in the house.
